Why is MATH Hard to Learn?
(Math Essay)

Mathematics. Arithmetic. Composed of numbers, sign and symbols and drawings. It has lots of fields like Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus. But why do people kept on whining and complaining that learning Math is difficult?




The only thing that make people think that Math is such a hard subject is the fact that they don't even try to understand and discover it with all their concentration, heart and soul to it.

Let me enumerate to you the 10 reasons (in my opinion) why people dislike this subject:

  1. As I've said a while ago, it is always accompanied by number (which make their minds go topsy-turvy).
  2. Some people are afraid of numbers, symbols, etc. related to Math or should I call it Arithmophobia/ Numeraphobia (fear of numbers) and Symbolophobia (fear of symbols).
  3. They can't solve those mind-boggling problems.
  4. It uses a lot of brain power than other subjects.
  5. People (most men to be specific) are reckless about Math.
  6. They consider it as largely theoretical and claim it to be rubbish and boring.
  7. It is such pain in the neck.
  8. It is useless and a waste of time and energy.
  9. They always get low marks/ fail during a Math test.
  10. They find abacus lame.


True, isn't it? If they only know what importance and magic Math could bring into your life, you can appreciate how it can help you. ALWAYS look at the bright side and think positively. Math is everywhere. Math is YOU and ME!
